Getting Started

How do I get started with S4 Edge?

The best first step is booking a free 30-minute discovery call via our Contact page. We'll discuss your goals, understand your current situation, and recommend the best approach — no commitment required. You'll leave the call with a clear direction regardless of whether we work together.

How quickly can you start on my project?

For most projects, we can begin within 1–5 business days of receiving a signed proposal and deposit. We keep our project load manageable so we can give every client the attention their project deserves.

Do I need to know anything technical to work with S4 Edge?

Not at all. We translate every technical decision into plain English and involve you in choices that affect your business — without burying you in jargon. Our clients range from completely non-technical business owners to technical founders who want a delivery partner.

Do you work with clients outside of New Jersey?

Yes. S4 Edge works with clients across the USA, fully remotely. All communication happens via email, Zoom, and your preferred tools. Being based in New Jersey means US business hours and East Coast timezone availability.

Pricing & Payment

How much do your services cost?

Every project is scoped and priced individually based on your specific needs. Most one-time projects range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on scope and complexity. Ongoing retainer support typically starts at $500–$1,500/month. Book a free call and you'll receive a clear, detailed quote within 24 hours.

Do you charge hourly or fixed price?

Projects are always quoted at a fixed price. You know exactly what you'll pay before any work begins — no hourly billing surprises. Ongoing retainers (monthly support) are fixed monthly fees agreed upfront.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer (ACH), PayPal, and Stripe (credit/debit card). All payment details are included in your project proposal.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. All projects require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining 50% due on delivery. For larger projects broken into milestones, payments are tied to milestone completion.

Process & Delivery

What does your project process look like?

Every project follows the same structure: (1) Free discovery call to understand your goals. (2) Written proposal with clear scope, timeline, and fixed price. (3) Deposit and project kickoff. (4) Regular updates throughout delivery. (5) Review and revision round. (6) Final delivery and handover. (7) Post-launch support period.

How do you communicate during a project?

Primarily via email for asynchronous updates, with Zoom calls for key milestones and reviews. We set up a shared task system (usually Notion) so you always have visibility into project progress without needing to ask.

What if I need changes after the project is delivered?

Every project includes defined revision rounds (typically 2). Changes within the agreed scope are covered. Additional features or significant scope changes are quoted as a separate mini-project.

How are revisions handled?

You provide consolidated feedback after each review round and we implement all changes in one pass. We recommend consolidating all feedback before sending — this produces better outcomes than incremental back-and-forth.

AI & Automation

Do I need to understand AI to benefit from your AI services?

No. We handle all the AI complexity. You describe the business problem — we design and build the AI solution. We explain what it does, how it works, and how to manage it, in plain English.

Which AI tools do you use?

We primarily use Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), and Gemini for AI agents and content. For automation workflows, we use n8n and Zapier. Tool selection is always based on what's right for your specific use case and budget.

Can AI automation replace my current tools?

Sometimes, but usually it connects them rather than replacing them. AI automation layers on top of your existing tools — your CRM, your email, your project management — making them work together automatically. You keep the tools you know.

Ownership & Confidentiality

Do I own everything S4 Edge creates for me?

Yes. Upon full payment, you own all deliverables created for your project — code, designs, content, dashboards, and automations. S4 Edge retains the right to mention the project type in our portfolio unless you request otherwise.

How do you handle confidential business information?

All client information is treated as strictly confidential. We sign NDAs on request. We use secure, access-controlled tools for any shared systems. We do not share client business details, strategies, or data with any third parties.

What happens to my data if we stop working together?

You receive all deliverables and data related to your project. We delete any copies of confidential client information from our systems within 30 days of project completion, on request.

Support & Ongoing Work

Do you offer ongoing support after a project is complete?

Yes. We offer monthly retainer support for all service areas — from IT support and VA services to development updates and marketing management. Many clients retain us after initial projects for ongoing help.

What if something breaks after delivery?

Every project includes a post-delivery support period (typically 14–30 days depending on project type). Issues discovered within that period that are related to the delivered work are fixed at no charge.

Can I reach you quickly if I have an urgent issue?

For retainer clients, we aim to respond within 2 business hours during US Eastern business hours. For project-based clients, response is within 1 business day.
